Toshiba introduces its first enterprise hard drive
The 2.5-inch model MBF2600RC works with 10,025 U / min and 16 MB cache. It comes with a 6-GBit/s-SAS-Schnittstelle. The maximum storage capacity is 600 GB.
Toshiba Storage Device Division has announced the MBF2xxxRC their first enterprise hard drive. The 2.5-inch drive is available with capacities of 300 (MBF2300RC), 450 (MBF2450RC) and 600 GB (MBF2600RC). It has been designed for use in mid-blade and rack optimized servers and storage arrays in.
The New Release works with 10,025 U / min and a 16-Mbyte cache. The average search time is 4 milliseconds according to the manufacturer in reading and 4.4 milliseconds when writing.
