LSI and Seagate to develop solid state drive with PCIe interface A
They are designed for data centers and cloud computing. LSI is the know-how to SAS and PCIe. Seagate brings its SSD technology to the cooperation. First product samples are in the second quarter are available dell inspiron e1405 battery.
LSI and Seagate have announced a collaboration in the field of Solid State Drives (SSD). The two companies plan to jointly develop flash-based storage solutions with integrated PCI Express interface. Such so-called Solid State Storage (SSS) will come in data centers and cloud computing is used.
For the new products combine the two partners LSIs know-how in Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and PCI-Express with Seagate’s SSD technology. This will bring more power – and the breakthrough of the SSS. First samples for OEM customers, the two partners in the second quarter are available.

Intel and Micron produce first 25-nanometer chips
Mass production is scheduled to start according to the company in the second quarter. The first products are expected in late 2010. The production costs fall, according to analysts of 1.26 euros to 0.36 euros per GB per GB dell inspiron b130 battery.
IM Flash Technologies, a joint venture between Intel and Micron, has started production of flash memory in 25-nanometer process. An Intel spokesman told PCWorld that the chips are sampling now. The mass production will begin according to the report in the second quarter. The first products could appear at the end of the year.
Market researcher Objective Analysis assumes that the new NAND flash chips IM Flash Technologies, a clear cost advantage over its competitors will bring. Analysts estimate the cost at $ 0.50 (0.36 euros) per gigabyte, compared to $ 1.75 (1.26 EUR) per GB for memory devices with a feature size of 45 nanometers.
The first 25-nanometer product of the joint venture is a NAND chip with 8 GB of memory. It supports the ONFI 2.2 specification (Open NAND Flash Interface), a throughput rate of up to 200 Mbit / s possible. Compared to previous generation also, the page size has been doubled from 4 KB to 8 KB.
As an operational area, that manufacturer primarily smart phones, Solid State Drives (SSD) and multimedia Playerdie can be built with this technology even more compact. It also reduces the power consumption.

Panasonic Toughbook touch screen to tailor service
The model CF-H1 is now available as Mobile Assistant with SSD and Windows 7. The Intel Atom Z540 chip was maintained. It has a carrying handle and a 10.6-inch touch screen for dual operation.
Panasonic has optimized its Tablet PC model CF-H1 as a Mobile Assistant on a new target group through: field staff about energy suppliers and service engineers for customer service. It is one of the “fully-ruggedized” models from Panasonic, is thus protected against impact, vibration, extreme temperatures and to IP65 against water and dust. In one version for the medical field for about one and a half years, it is available in a similar configuration. The nickname is then “Medical Assistant”.
The Toughbook CF-H1 Mobile Assistant is an Intel-processor-type atom with 1.86 GHz (model Z540), 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM and a 64-gigabyte SSD as a data store. In previous models, a 80-gigabyte hard drive had been blocked. The screen measures 10.2 inches on the diagonal on which it is XGA resolution (1024 x 768 pixels). He uses a dual-touch technology, so it can be operated either by finger or with a digital pen.
The notebook comes with two lithium-ion batteries to 2900 Milliampèrestunden which will together provide approximately six hours duration. It weighs 1.5 pounds and measures according to the manufacturer 26 by 27 by 6 inches at the thickest point.
Panasonic CF-H1 is the particularly insensitive to radio interfaces. By default, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and WLAN IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n available. Optionally there is also a GPS module and 3.5G HSPA mobile communications. The options also include a fingerprint scanner and a smart card and an RFID reader.
The device has integrated a 2-megapixel camera. Facilitate the transport of a handle and an enclosed belt. The operating system plays the manufacturer on Windows 7th
Dealer List the CF-H1 in the new configuration for around 2500 Euro street price.
