BYD electric vehicle battery base is completed
August 24 reported last week, BYD Auto says its electric car battery production bases have been built in Huizhou, Guangdong. This base will take the core technology of BYD electric vehicle battery production --- Iron task for BYD mass production of electric vehicles to provide adequate capacity.
BYD BYD Huizhou Industrial Park is the production base in the country one of the nine major business scope covers mobile phone parts and components, rechargeable batteries, three major areas of auto parts, total investment of nearly 50 billion yuan. One phase of the project covers an area of about 51 million square meters, began in October 2007 put into operation, has been basically completed; II project covers an area of 810,000 square meters, in September 2008 under construction.
Last December, BYD launched a dual-mode electric vehicle F3DM, it is equipped with a self-developed iron batteries BYD. The battery has a high density, small size, light weight, capacity, security and stability and other characteristics, and because the use of iron battery, F3DM get rid of the dependence of charging stations, more conducive to commercial promotion.
Currently, BYD battery market share in the global nickel market share of around 60%, with pricing power, lithium battery holds 30% share, ranking second in the world while the iron is BYD, the battery is the development of new electric energy.
